FlipRocket, Inc.
Last updated: June 5, 2026
FlipRocket, Inc. (the "Company", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. This Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Site" refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at www.fliprocket.ai. "Service" refers to the FlipRocket software platform accessed via the Site, through which users can analyze, manage, and track real estate investment deals and renovation projects, including deal analysis, scopes of work, project management, budgets, draw tracking, and expense tracking. "You" refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.
By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (available at www.fliprocket.ai/terms), and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect "Non-Personal Information" and "Personal Information." Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit, and aggregate usage statistics. Personal Information includes information that can be used to identify you, which you submit to us through registration or use of the Service, as described below.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
Account and registration information. When you register for an Account, we collect your name, email address, password, company name, and optionally your phone number and other business details.
Payment information. When you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number on our systems. We receive and store limited billing information from Stripe, such as your billing plan, payment status, and the last four digits and expiration date of your card.
Customer Data. In using the Service, you may submit information and content related to your real estate business, such as property addresses, purchase and financing details, deal analyses, scopes of work, budgets, contractor and contact information, project schedules, draw requests, expenses, receipts, photos, and documents (collectively, "Customer Data"). Customer Data may include Personal Information about you or third parties (for example, a contractor's name and phone number). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any third-party information to the Service.
Communications. If you contact us directly (for example, by email or through support channels), we collect the contents of your message and any information you choose to provide.
Text messages. If you opt in to text messaging features of the Service (such as submitting expenses by text), we collect your mobile phone number and the contents of the messages you send, including any photos or receipts you submit by text.
Connected services. If you choose to connect a third-party cloud storage account (such as Google Drive or Dropbox), we receive basic account information and the files you sync with FlipRocket, as described in Section 5.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Site or the Service, we automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the website you came from (referring URL), and the time and date of access.
Cookies. We use cookies — small text files stored on your device — primarily to keep you logged in, maintain your session, and remember your preferences. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
Analytics. We use privacy-focused analytics (currently Plausible Analytics) to understand aggregate usage of our Site and Service. This analytics tool does not use cookies and does not collect Personal Information; it measures aggregate, anonymized traffic data only.
1.3 Children's Privacy
The Site and the Service are intended for use by adults and are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. The Site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13, or allow anyone under the age of 13 to sign up for the Service. In the event that we learn that we have gathered personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at hello@fliprocket.ai.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the Service;
- Create and manage your Account and authenticate your access;
- Process payments and manage your subscription;
- Power features of the Service, including deal analysis, property data lookups, and AI-assisted features (see Section 4);
- Communicate with you, including sending transactional emails and in-app notifications (such as account, billing, and activity notifications), responding to your questions, and providing support;
- Send you marketing and promotional communications, which you may opt out of at any time;
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the user experience;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. How We Share Information
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your Personal Information with third parties for their marketing purposes without your consent.
Service providers. We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf and who are permitted to use your information only as directed by us and consistent with this Privacy Policy. These currently include:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing;
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — file and photo storage;
- Heroku — application hosting and databases;
- Twilio SendGrid — transactional and marketing email delivery;
- Twilio — text (SMS/MMS) messaging;
- RentCast — property data, valuations, and rent estimates (we submit property addresses you enter to retrieve this data);
- Anthropic — AI model processing for AI-powered features (see Section 4); and
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-focused, cookieless website analytics.
Connected third-party services. If you choose to connect a third-party service to FlipRocket (such as Google Drive or Dropbox), we share data with and receive data from that service at your direction in order to provide the integration you requested. Your use of a connected service is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. See Section 5 for details.
Legal requirements. We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; to address fraud, security, or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
Business transfers. In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Non-Personal Information. We may use and disclose aggregated, anonymized, or otherwise Non-Personal Information for any purpose, including to analyze trends and improve the Service.
Mobile information. No mobile information (including mobile phone numbers and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messaging service (such as Twilio).
4. AI Features
Certain features of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate insights, analyses, and suggestions. To power these features, relevant portions of your Customer Data (for example, deal details or scope information) may be transmitted to and processed by our third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic) solely to generate the requested output for you. We do not permit our AI provider to use your Customer Data to train its models. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate and should be independently verified before you rely on them; see our Terms of Use for more information.
5. Connected Cloud Storage (Google Drive and Dropbox)
Certain features of the Service allow you to connect a third-party cloud storage account — currently Google Drive and Dropbox — to sync files with FlipRocket. Connecting an account is optional. If you connect an account, we access limited data from that provider, as follows:
What we access.
- Google Drive: We access your basic Google account information (such as your name and email address) to identify your connected account, and Google Drive files through Google's
drive.filescope. Thedrive.filescope is a per-file permission: it allows FlipRocket to access only the specific files that you create with FlipRocket or that you explicitly open or share with FlipRocket — it does not give us access to your broader Google Drive. - Dropbox: We access your basic Dropbox account information (such as your name and email address) to identify your connected account, and a dedicated FlipRocket app folder (
/Apps/FlipRocket/) in your Dropbox. FlipRocket can only read and write files within that app folder — it does not have access to the rest of your Dropbox.
How we use it. We use data from connected cloud storage accounts solely to provide the file features you request — for example, syncing project photos and documents between FlipRocket and your storage account, saving or exporting FlipRocket documents and reports, or importing files you select into the Service. Copies of files you sync may be stored in FlipRocket's own storage systems in order to provide these features. FlipRocket is responsible for the privacy and security of data accessed from your connected accounts, and we process that data only in accordance with your instructions and this Privacy Policy. We do not sell data from connected accounts and we do not use it for serving advertisements.
Google Limited Use. FlipRocket's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features of the Service that are prominent in the Service's user interface;
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you;
- We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements;
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except with your affirmative agreement, where necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations; and
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Disconnecting. You can disconnect a connected cloud storage account from FlipRocket at any time in your FlipRocket account settings, or by revoking FlipRocket's access directly with the provider — via your Google account permissions page or your Dropbox connected apps page. Once disconnected, we will no longer access your account with that provider. Disconnecting does not delete any files stored in your Google Drive or Dropbox, and it does not automatically delete copies of synced files already stored in FlipRocket; you may request deletion of any connected-account data we have stored by contacting hello@fliprocket.ai.
6. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from us — for example, to submit expenses by text or receive notifications — the following applies:
- Message frequency varies based on your activity and settings.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- You can get help by replying HELP or by emailing hello@fliprocket.ai.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- As stated in Section 3, your mobile information and opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information and Customer Data for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If your subscription expires or is cancelled, we currently preserve your Account data for approximately 30 days to allow you to reactivate, after which it may be deleted from our live systems. We may retain certain information for longer periods where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain business records (such as billing history). Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited time after deletion.
8. How We Protect Information
We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, including encryption of data in transit, hashed password storage, access controls, and hosting with reputable infrastructure providers. Your Account is protected by your password, and we urge you to take steps to keep your Personal Information safe by using a strong, unique password, not disclosing your password, and logging out of your Account after each use on shared devices. However, no security measures can guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Marketing communications. You have the right at any time to opt out of marketing communications from us. When we send a promotional communication, you can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional email. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may continue to send you transactional and administrative communications, such as billing notices, security alerts, and updates to this Privacy Policy.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may access and update much of your Account information directly within the Service. You may also contact us at hello@fliprocket.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Information, or to request an export of your data. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws regarding your Personal Information; to exercise any such rights, contact us at hello@fliprocket.ai.
Cookies. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking cookies required for authentication will prevent you from logging in to the Service.
10. Links to Other Websites
As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.
11. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
The Company reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Account or by placing a prominent notice on our Site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this privacy page for updates.
